Description

LignoStation is used for the wood surface preparation (milling), tree ring parameters recording (tree ring width, latewood and earlywood with), and for wood density measuring.

Specification

Density measuring using a high-resolution high-frequency probe Optical scans using a high-resolution camera Sample material: cores or stem disks Maximum length of measurement: 450 mm x 450 mm Image resolution: <= 100 microns (= 1/10 mm) No X-ray emissions

Services

With LignoStation it is possible to prepare wood surface (tree-ring cores or stem disks) using mill, do optical scans of samples with high-resolution camera and the do semi-automatic measurements of tree ring width (whole, earlywood and latewood) on images, and measure wood density using high-resolution high-frequency probe. Density (mean, minimal and maximal) can be measured for the whole tree ring or earlywood/latewood. Application of results are in fields of dendchronologu, dendroecology, dendroclimatology, forestry.
