Description
Atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) is used for determining the concentration of a particular element (the analyte) in a sample to be analyzed. AAS can be used to determine over 70 different elements in solution. AAS has many uses in different areas of chemistry such as clinical analysis of metals in biological fluids, for example, in whole blood, also analyzing water or air samples for its metal content. The 240FS AA fast sequential atomic absorption spectrometer brings the productivity and analysis speed of ICP-OES to AA. Measures all elements in each sample before analyzing the next. Conventional AA determines only 1 element at a time, analyzing samples time and time again during a multi-element sequence—increasing analysis time and delays. Fast Sequential AA can cut analysis time in half and reduce sample consumption compared to conventional AA by measuring all elements in a sample before moving to the next sample. Provides complete results for each sample in minutes. With less analysis time, less sample volume is consumed.
