Research equipment for analysis of optical properties of materials.

Specification

VUV monochromator, model McPherson 234/301 with 1200 line/mm aberration-corrected concave grating for 30 -500 nm range; Focal lengh 200mm; Resolution 0.1 nm; Accuracy 0.1 nm; reproducibility 0.05 nm. Light sources 200W deuterium lamp (Heraeus) with MgF2 window, spectral range 120 to 400nm; laser excitation sources (UV-VIS range), Detectors: Hamamatsu thermoelectric cooler C9143 with R955 UV-VIS range PMT and H10330 PMT for NIR range, photon counting electronics, Andor Newton DU971N-UVB cooled CCD camera with Sharock 303i 300mm focal length spectrograph. Labview-based data acquisition/control system.

Studies of optical properties of wide band gap materials. Optical absorption, reflection and luminescence excitation spectra in vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) spectral range. Time-resolved luminescence and luminescence decay kinetics. Raman spectroscopy. Optical fiber characterization.
