Description

The PPSQ-31B is an instrument providing reliable and sensitive N-terminal protein sequencing through automated Edman Degradation. It carries out analysis of PTH-amino acids using high-performance liquid chromatography in isocratic mode.

Specification

  • Reaction method: Edman degradation
  • Sample immobilization method: Glass fiber disk (8 mm dia.) or PVDF membrane
  • Reactor temperature control range: 10 °C above room temperature to 60 °C
  • Converter temperature control range: 10 °C above room temperature to 70 °C
  • Number of reagents/solvents: 7
  • Reagent/solvent delivery method: Nitrogen gas pressure

Services

Primary structural analysis of proteins/peptides. In order to determine an amino acid sequence using the Edman reaction, a highly purified protein/peptide sample at the pmol level is required. The separated protein is electrically transferred onto PVDF membrane and stained, and the stained protein spot is then cut out from the membrane and placed directly in the reactor. Subsequent analysis can be performed completely automatically.
