Instron Series IX Automated Materials Testing System

Determination of static mechanical characteristics in tension, compression and bending

Contacts and Location

Description

Determination of static mechanical characteristics in tension, compression and bending

Specification

Materials Testing System for tensile, compression and (4-point or 3-point) flexure tests. System consists of a electromechanical testing instrument Instron 4301 (can apply loads up to 5kN, at 0.5mm/min to 500mm/min), a PC with GRIB (IEEE-488) interface and DOS software (version 5.2), two additional extensometer interfaces; three changeable load cells 5 kN, 1 kN, 500 N. Flat serrated jaw faces 50 mm wide for gripping flat specimens 0 to 40mm thick. Crosshead travel: 970 mm. Dimensions of test equipment (D)x(H)x(W): 27 x 150 x 52 cm.

Services

Experimental determination of material load - displacement and stress - deformation relationships, strength characteristics and modulus of elasticity in tension, compression or bending.
