Description

Vacuum evaporator is composed of an evaporation section, an automatic evacuation system, an electronic system and so on, and is designed to allow easy creation of specimens for an electron microscope. Major applications involve various metal evaporation films, carbon reinforcement of collodion films, metal shadowing on replica films and conductive coating on non-conductive or biological specimen surfaces, which are suited to high resolution microscopy. Cleaning of apertures of electron microscopes, various processing and experiments in a high-vacuum environment are also carried out with this instrument.

Ultimate vacuum pressure: 3 x 10-4 Pa or less Operation of vacuum system: Automatic Vacuum pressure measurement: Penning gauge and Pirani gauge Vacuum pressure indicate: Penning gauge meter (Automatic range) Bell jar: Glass bell jar 250 (outer diameter)x250(H) mm Electrodes for evaporation: 2 sets Power supply for evaporation heater: 10 V AC, 50 A Carbon Holder: 1 Set Heater (filament) holders: 2 sets Auxiliary port: 1 Shutter between electrodes: 1, semifixed Shutter for specimen: 1 set Diffusion pump: 420 l/sec. with water-cooling baffle Rotary pump: 100 l/min Additional equipment: Specimen rotation tilting device which allows sample rotation with adjustable levels.
