The roller compactor is used to produce representative sample slabs (w305×l400×d(20 -145) mm of asphalt mixtures laid and compacted on site. The compaction is performed through a segmented roller with alternated operated rotation which simulates the on-site action of a street roller. The sample slabs can be also cored or cut off to obtain cylinders and beams for bending fatigue, indirect tensile, static and dynamic creep, stiffness, 4-point bending tests and teheromo-cracking test. The compaction cycle can be programmed in accordance to a certain load or deformation value.
1. Comply with EN 12697-33 and ASTM D8079; 2. The Roller Compactor fully operates with the electro-mechanical system; 3. Programming of compaction cycles up to a specified load or deformation; 4. Integrated touch screen control unit based on Windows operating system; 5. Unlimited memory storage with: 2 USB ports,1 SD card slot; 6. Maximum sample (asphalt slab) size at least 500 x 400 mm 7. Maximum sample (asphalt slab) thickness at least 180mm; 8. 40 kN vertical force; 9. Sample compaction rate adjustable from 3 to 12 min; 10. Possibility to set the required number of compactions before the test; 11. Programmable compaction to a specified density; 12. Possibility to perform two-phase procedure - pre-compaction and compaction.
