Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experts group, which brings together researchers from different scientific disciplines, helps solve gas and liquid flow problems by using advanced numerical methods.

CFD computing tasks are one of the most very time consuming therefore the ability to use HPC gives additional benefit allowing to achieve results several times faster. The group specializes in using open source software (OpenFoam, Paraview, etc.), which allows to save money on software licenses, although it has experience also in using commercial solutions such as COMSOL Multiphysics.
The service is specifically targeting innovative industries (SMEs, startups) and research institutions wanting to improve R&D process by means of computer simulation. Simulation will help to better understand physical processes in a system, to predict and eliminate problems before making a prototype or end-product.
Preparation of initial simulation model can take up to several weeks, depending on the complexity of geometry and other requirements.
Adjustment of the existing model and simulation in the supercomputer usually takes from few hours to several days.
