Description

Myometer for in vivo non-invasive measurement of soft biological tissues

Specification

Measuring method: Based on exerting a damped mechanical oscillation of soft biological tissue by using an exterior, light, quick-release mechanical impulse under constant pre-load.

Measurable parameters: 1) State of tension: • Natural oscillation frequency [Hz] - characterizing Tone or Tension 2) Biomechanical properties: • Logarithmic Decrement of natural oscillation - characterizing Elasticity • Dynamic Stiffness [N/m] 3) Viscoelastic properties: • Creep-ability (Deborah number) • Mechanical Stress Relaxation time [ms]

Services

Myoton technology brings evidence-based medicine to the field of muscle assessment by enabling the non-invasive, cost-effective, quick and easy measurement of superficial skeletal muscles and other soft biological tissues.
