Description
The GO2Altitude Portable-2010 Hypoxicator employs the principle of gas separation by means of semipermeable membranes for hypoxic air preparation. Gas separation is induced by the application of compressed air to the semipermeable membrane module. This filters out oxygen and delivers hypoxic (oxygen reduced) air to the person undergoing high altitude acclimatization. Hypoxic air is distributed to the user via a breathing circuit. The usual treatment procedure incorporates several minutes of respiration with hypoxic air alternated with several minutes of respiration with normal (ambient) air. These cycles repeat each 30-120 minute session. The pulse oximeter unit (measuring heart rate and arterial oxygen saturation) provides constant monitoring of the arterial oxygen saturation of the person undergoing training.
Specification
• Number of simultaneously treated patients 1; • Variation of oxygen concentration: 10-15% (by volume); • Capacity to produce hypoxic air (Nominal): 9-15 LPM, depending on selected %O2; • Programs of treatment: 8 fixed, 100 operator programmed; • Session duration: selected in the range of 5-120 minutes.
Services
Artificial normobaric hypoxic air conditions for estimation of organism’s adaptation reactions to hypoxia or tolerance to breathing air hypoxia. Intermittent Hypoxic Training, involved breathing reduced oxygen air at normobaric conditions, 1)stimulate the majority of human systems – cardiovascular system (vasodilation, increase microvessel density and reduce peripheral resistance; decrease mean arterial blood pressure and heart rate); 2)respiratory system (increase hypoxic ventilator response; increase minute ventilation and total and vital lung capacity); 3)stimulate sympatho-adrenal system; 4) altere blood biochemical indices; 5)improve immunological status; facilitate erythropoietin production.
