Description
The Hamburg wheel tracking device is used to determine the resistance of asphalt to rutting and moisture sensitivity. Hambrur wheel tracking test device able to perform EN and the USA AASHTO tests. The machine is designed to allow researchers and practitioners to conduct tests under dry (in air) and/or under water (wet). Specimens can be prepared in the laboratory, or cores taken from the road can be used. Loaded steel or rubber wheels track a sample under regulated load, speed and temperature. development of the rut is constantly monitored and recorded throughout the test.
Specification
1. Comply with EN 12697-22 and AASHTO T324. 2. Number of wheels – 2 wheels; 3. Two independent loaded wheel systems each capable of conducting wet or dry sample tests simultaneously. 4. Wheels retract automatically away from samples and park into rest position; 5. Sliding sample positioning mechanism for easy mould handling and placement in the machine; 6. Mechanical recirculating water bath for temperature control within ± 1 °C; 7. Touch-screen control unit based on Windows operating system for user friendly execution of the test, management of the data and visualization of the results; 8. Wheel load at least 700N; 9. Wheel speed 20-30 cycles/min.; 10. Testing temperature from ambinient up to 75°C; 11. Each of the two wheel assemblies is equipped with displacement transducers (displacement 25mm and ± 0,1 mm accuracy) for rut measurement. 12. Asphalt concrete slab thickness 40 – 120mm; 13. Detects and stops the test when the target rut depth is reached. 14. Power 220 V / 50 Hz.
