Specification

"Whole blood must be collected in EDTA- or citrate-coated tubes to prevent clotting and DNA degradation. DNA extracted from heparinized blood cannot be used for PCR. DNA from wild and cultivated commercial varieties of barley or animal blood extracting using a conventional protocol of proteinase digestion and salting out, or using a kit for genomic DNA extraction from nucleated blood cells."
