SPS-825.CE aparatus is designed for wide range of experimental research and development of new high temperature-, hard-materials. The spark plasma sintering (SPS) process at first compresses starting powder then applies ON/OFF pulse controlled power using DC Pulse Generator to concentrate high-density energy in the area of neck formation between particles. The SPS system fabricates high-grade sintered compact at lower temperature and in a shorter time than conventional sintering methods. It is possible to sinter such powders as carbides, carbonitrides, nitrides, oxides, and their composites.
