Description
Complex includes a number of units and most important are: • camcorder microscope DFC310 FX Leica; • Syringe pump HA3000P, Harward apparatus; • custom made laser tweezers (most parts from Thorlabs)
The Micro Rheology units intended for: • filming microscopic objects with image post-processing; • controlled supply of small quantities of liquid; • system of a focused laser beam performs manipulation of microscopic objects is able to determine the model viscoelastic (rheological) micro-features.
Specification
Camera: Dynamic range: at least 62 dB Resolution: 1392 x 1040 pixels
Syringe pump: Used syringe: 0.5 ml to 140 ml The flow rate range of 20 pl / min to 125 ml / min
Laser tweezers: Wavelength: 1064 nm Laser power: 1W
Services
The Complex of Micro Rheology allows you to operate with microscopic volumes of fluids during handling or moving microscopic objects, such as a few micrometers large polystyrene particles. By periodic wiggling of the micrometer sized particle with laser and by measuring its displacement respect to the laser beam it is possible to measure viscoelastic properties of surrounding media. Video Camera allows additionally to control of these processes. The device can be useful where necessary to determine the fluid viscoelastic properties of a very small quantity of sample, or directly specify the sample behavior in microscopic scales.
